Easter Adoration: Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

Easter marks the resurrection of Christ, bringing grace and joy to the world. It signifies transformation, life overcoming death, and beauty emerging. With Christ's resurrection, God says: "Arise." He calls everyone to rise with freedom and strength, overcoming weakness and depression. Christ lives! Alleluia!

- O God, come to my aid.

- Lord, make haste to help me.

- Glory be to the Father...

- As it was in the beginning...

Easter of the risen Christ:

It is the victory of light over a sad night.

Let us light our lamp.

Let us put on garments of hope.

It is the victory of life; it is the victory of love.

Death has been disarmed.

Let us kindle the bonfire of love.

Silence for adoration.

Psalm to the Passover of Christ.

The unholy circle of death is broken; the port of hope remains open.

One does not live to die; one lives and dies to live more.

Life and death have meaning.

Joy and sorrow have meaning.

Everything human has meaning.

Complete your victory, Christ.

With you the new person rises, announcement and foretaste of the future.

With you begins the future, the new era, the era of peace and harmony, of friendship and tenderness, the era of the Spirit, which is Love.

In you is announced the person in solidarity with the poor. suffering, and oppressed, who is free, merciful, blessed and peacemaker

Christ, you hold in your hands the keys of life and grace.

You open your torrents to thirsty people.

Glory to you, Risen Lord!

Silence to meditate.

Repeat many times: Glory to you, Risen Christ!

Reading: Resurrection and Hope

Today at last, the singing of the “alleluia” is heard once more in the Church, passing from mouth to mouth, from heart to heart, and this makes the people of God throughout the world shed tears of joy.

From the empty tomb in Jerusalem, we hear unexpected good news: Jesus, who was crucified, “is not here, he has risen” (Lk 24:5). Jesus is not in the tomb, he is alive!

The resurrection of Jesus is indeed the basis of our hope.

All those who put their hope in God place their feeble hands in his strong and mighty hand; they let themselves be raised up and set out on a journey. Together with the risen Jesus, they become pilgrims of hope, witnesses of the victory of love and of the disarmed power of life.

Christ is risen! These words capture the whole meaning of our existence, for we were not made for death but for life. Easter is the celebration of life! God created us for life and wants the human family to rise again! In his eyes, every life is precious! The life of a child in the mother’s womb, as well as the lives of the elderly and the sick, who in more and more countries are looked upon as people to be discarded.

From Easter Message of Pope Francis 2025

Silence for reflection.

How do you see yourself as an Easter person, born of the Spirit?

Petitions.

- That the joy and hope of the resurrection may reach all men and women...

- That the Church, born of Easter, may be the bearer of the new life of the risen Christ...

- That those who are most committed to the liberation of humankind may find strength in the Risen Christ....

- That we, filled with the spirit of the resurrection, may be bringers of freedom and life....

Our Father.

Closing Prayer.

We pray, Father, for stronger faith, greater hope, and more generous love during this Easter season and beyond. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
