Adoration for the Easter Season

For twenty centuries, news has been spreading among believers, news that has not yet died out. It is the testimony of those who have discovered that God saves, that he liberates, that he promises people a future with an eternal covenant. As the first fruits of God's saving plan, Christ is risen. Jesus of Nazareth has already entered into this future that awaits every person. Jesus is the new man created in fullness of life and communion. Christian faith proclaims him the First Born from the dead, the guarantee of our own resurrection. Our adoration must be a grateful hymn, on behalf of the Church, the world and all creation, to the God who has illuminated history with the glory of the Lord's resurrection.

- My God, come to my aid

- Lord, make haste to help me

- Glory be to the Father...

- As it was in the beginning...

Christ is risen!

Let us rise with him!

Alleluia, alleluia!

Death and life fought,

And death was conquered.

Alleluia, alleluia!

Christ is our hope,

our peace and our life.

Alleluia, alleluia!

Let us live new life,

Baptism is our Easter.

Alleluia, alleluia!

Silence for adoration

Psalm.

This modern psalm is an affirmation of faith in the resurrection of Christ. For the prayerful person, the resurrection of the Lord is the source of life, the fullness of people's desires, the hope of a full life, of a world in which love will reign. To achieve this, we must choose for Christ.

Because Christ is risen, we believe in life, forever!

Because Christ is risen, we do not believe in death, in no death!

Because Christ is risen, we believe in the fullness of humanity and that nothing is too great for us.

Because Christ is risen, we can begin a new life, forever!

Because Christ is risen, we believe in Him.

Because Christ is risen, the strength we have now is given to us by the future that is to come.

Because Christ is risen, the world is on the move and no one and nothing can stop it.

Because Christ is risen, we must build a city without classes, where people do not prey on each other but treat all as companions and family.

Because Christ is risen, there is one love and one home, for all!

Because Christ is risen, we believe in a new earth; and we believe and affirm that the best way to achieve everything is to lose everything for Him.

Silence to meditate.

Reading of the Word.

Letter of St. Paul to the Romans 6, 3-5

"Those of us who were baptized into Christ were baptized into his death. Through baptism we were buried with him in death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we too might walk in newness of life. For if our life is united with his in death, it will be united with his in the resurrection.

Silence for reflection.

- Do you believe that Jesus is "alive", that he is present and influences your life?

- Is He your strength, your joy, your hope?

- Do you make His concerns your own, striving to build a world of love and communion?

 - Are you grateful for, and live your baptism believing that God chose you to be a witness of the resurrection?

Praise to the Risen Jesus

Conqueror of death,

Glory to you, Risen Lord.

Giver of life,

Glory to you, Risen Lord.

Way, truth, and life,

Glory to you, Risen Lord.

Light for our steps,

Glory to you, Risen Lord.

Fullness of all that exists,

Glory to you, Risen Lord.

Savior of the world,

Glory to you, Risen Lord.

Our Father.

Prayer.

O Christ, who by your resurrection conquered our death and was constituted Lord of Life. Receive our homage and thanksgiving and make us your witnesses before all, You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

Final.

May the Lord bless us, keep us from all evil and lead us to eternal life.

Amen.
